Description

The Vertex Top End Piston Kit is designed as a high-quality replacement for OEM pistons, offering durability and performance. The cast pistons are made from a gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, resulting in a lightweight yet strong design. Forged pistons are constructed from 2618 aluminum for superior strength and durability, with high-compression versions improving power and torque across the RPM range. All pistons undergo a T-5 heat treatment process for added hardness and longevity. The piston skirts are coated with a molybdenum disulfide coating, reducing friction, ensuring quicker break-in times, and extending piston life. The kit includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, circlips, top-end gaskets, and, where applicable, a wrist pin bearing or cam chain. All piston rings are OEM replacements.
