The Vertex Piston Kit is designed as an OEM replacement, offering reliable performance and durability. For 2-stroke engines, the pistons are made from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, making them lightweight yet strong. For 4-stroke engines, the pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum for enhanced strength and durability. The 4-stroke high-compression pistons improve power and torque across the entire RPM range, while the big-bore pistons increase engine displacement, torque, and peak horsepower. All pistons undergo a T-5 heat treatment process for added durability. The piston skirts are coated with a high-tech molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) coating, which reduces friction, enhances piston life, and allows for a quicker break-in period. Each kit includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, and circlips. Two-stroke replacement rings are sold individually, while four-stroke piston rings come as a set.
