This brand new starter motor from Rick's Motorsport Electrics is designed for Yamaha 2004-08 YZF-R1 models. Please note: the (+) positive post design for this starter may differ from the original depending on your bike's year. Some OEM starters use a 5 mm threaded flag style post and bolt, while Rick's uses a 6 mm stud and nut, possibly requiring you to open up the starter cable terminal with a 1/4" drill. Installation instructions are included for easy setup. Replaces OEM part numbers: 4C8-81890-01-00, 4C8-81890-00-00, 5VY-81890-00-00.
