The Vertex Piston Kit offers high-quality replacement pistons for both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines. – **2-Stroke Pistons**: Made from gravity-cast aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, ensuring a lightweight yet strong design. – **4-Stroke Pistons**: Forged from 2618 aluminum for superior strength and durability. High-compression options enhance power and torque across the RPM range, while big-bore versions increase displacement, torque, and peak horsepower. All pistons undergo a T-5 heat treatment process for enhanced durability. The piston skirts are coated with molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) to reduce friction, promote a quicker break-in period, and extend piston life. Each kit includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, and circlips. Standard pistons and rings are OEM replacements.
