Description
The KFI Synthetic Winch Rope is a high-strength, lightweight alternative to traditional steel cables. Made from SK75 Dyneema 12-strand synthetic fiber, it offers a higher breaking strength while being safer and easier to handle. This 3/16-inch thick, 50-foot blue rope has a minimum break strength of 5,000 lbs., making it suitable for winches rated at 3,500 lbs. or less. Key features include a heavy-duty nylon eye guard for added durability, a soft eye for easy plow connections, and a sliding 5-foot protective sheath to guard against rough surfaces. The rope is resistant to kinks, curls, rust, and splinters, eliminating the risk of sharp frays. It also has very low stretch, floats in water, and is simple to replace. A cable clamp and screw are included for late-model winches that use a pan head screw. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use a new roller fairlead or aluminum hawse fairlead when switching from a steel cable to prevent damage from metal burrs. Additionally, any burrs on the cable spindle should be removed before installation.
