The JIMS Dipstick Socket Insert is a practical solution for removing Harley-Davidson oil dipstick caps without causing damage. Designed to address challenges with the 2012 redesign to a “finger grasp” cap, this insert simplifies removal, even in cases where the dipstick is stuck or affected by oil contamination. Crafted from durable blue Delrin and designed exclusively by Gary Smith for JIMS, the insert works seamlessly with the JIMS dipstick socket tool (sold separately). It eliminates the need for pliers, preventing potential damage to the cap and ensuring hassle-free maintenance.
