Description
The Dynatek Dyna 2000P Programmable Digital Ignition Module is a high-performance plug-in upgrade for the electronic advance ignition found on late-model Harley-Davidson motorcycles. This micro-computer controlled system delivers extremely accurate control over the entire ignition process. Riders can tailor the ignition advance curve and rev limiter to suit their specific engine’s needs, thanks to four built-in advance curves covering stock to highly modified engines and four independent rev limiter settings from 6000 to 7500 rpm. PC programmability provides the ability to define wide-open and part-throttle curves, rev limits, dead-cranking revs, and rear cylinder offset. Additional features include a separate tach output wire for clean tachometer operation, a diagnostic LED indicator for troubleshooting and static timing, and compatibility with both single-fire and dual-fire modes. Vacuum advance compensation is possible via a VOES switch, and a retard mode offers 5°, 7° or 10° retard upon activation. Made in the U.S.A.
Important: Use only carbon fiber-type suppression spark plug wires to minimize radio frequency interference and prevent malfunction. Not for fuel-injected models. HDE systems are not compatible with Dyna “S” systems. Use HD1/HD2 systems only.
Comes with 8-pin connectors and is designed for select late 1994-1999 Harley-Davidson models including various Softail, Dyna, Touring, and Sportster models. Check local laws before installing; not legal for use in California on pollution-controlled vehicles.
