The Dakota Digital MLX Series Gauge, with a 3-3/8″ speedometer and tachometer, offers advanced functionality and customization for motorcycle enthusiasts. The gauge includes an adjustable speedometer (selectable as MPH or km/H), bar-type tachometer with an adjustable shift point, voltmeter, cylinder temperature (when available), clock, gear position indicator, odometer with two trip meters, service meter, hour meter, and low fuel and security indicators. Performance features include high-speed and RPM recall, 0-60 timer, 1/4-mile time and speed measurements, and a numeric RPM readout, all accessible via a two-line message center. The gauge display automatically adjusts its brightness, dimming for comfortable nighttime riding and switching to a high-contrast mode for clear visibility in direct sunlight. With 31 illumination colors, users can independently customize the colors for speed readings, message center data, bar-graph displays, and labels or choose from 12 preset themes. The MLX-2011 model also supports additional functionality, such as displaying oil pressure and oil temperature with separately available sensors. Optional MBM expansion modules can add air pressure, boost, and compass heading readouts. For bikes from ’03 and older, installation requires hard wiring.
