Description
The S&S Cycle Connecting Rod Sets are high-quality, heavy-duty rod assemblies designed for performance motorcycles from 1984 to 1998. These sets are complete and ready for installation, including both front and rear rods, a crankpin with hardware, steel cages, and roller bearings. The rods are deep-forged from durable 4140 chrome moly steel and feature an I-beam construction that is 0.120″ wider than stock. This design provides sufficient rod-to-rod clearance to accommodate strokes up to 5 inches. The crankpin includes two oil holes and four slots on each side of the rod ends to maintain optimal oil film on the thrust faces. It is important to note that installing these rod sets may require additional clearancing of flywheels and cases.
