Hot Rods High-Performance Connecting Rod Kit for CRF250R/X 04-06 This heavy-duty OE replacement kit includes a connecting rod, crank pin, crank bearing, wrist pin bearing, and thrust washers. The connecting rod is forged from certified 8620 AISI steel, ensuring superior strength and durability. The crankpins are made from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and are case-hardened to a level of 58-62Rc. The kit features the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs for high RPM longevity. The uniquely designed big end includes strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPMs. The small ends are double drilled for enhanced lubrication and cooling of the wrist pin bearing. The entire assembly is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress and smoothly blend the rod forging’s radiuses. The rod assembly is complete with a high-quality, silver-coated crankpin bearing and SAE recommended phosphor bronze thrust washers. Double honing produces an ultra-round bearing surface for reliability at high RPM. This kit is compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts.
