The S3N type is a 3 position switch with the OFF position in the center. It is a dual pole, dual throw (DPDT) type switch. These types of switches are commonly used if two different elements require power, but do not need to be powered simultaneously. The S3N is a dual pole switch, which means it can switch power to up to four different devices, however they must be paired together.
FLIP S3N type switches are a non-illuminated, lower cost option.
