The S3 type is a 3 position switch with the OFF position in the center. It is a dual pole, dual throw (DPDT) type switch. These types of switches are commonly used if two different elements require power, but do not need to be powered simultaneously. The S3 is a dual pole switch, which means it can switch power to up to four different devices, however they must be paired together.
FLIP S3 type switches feature two LED indicators. BOTH are DEPENDENT on the position of the switch. If the switch is in the upper ON position, the upper LED will illuminate and vice versa.
