The Arai Ram-X Helmet features an intermediate oval shape that fits the majority of head shapes in North America. It includes the Variable Axis System (VAS) pivot cover, which is smaller and lower, providing more surface area above the cover. This design enhances the helmet's ability to glance off objects during an impact. The VAS-Z shield system has a lower pivot point, allowing for a smoother temple area that aids in sliding smoothly on impact. The multi-density EPS liner and Z Resin construction ensure improved shell strength while reducing weight. The Pro Shade System adapts to various light conditions without compromising impact absorption and allows air to pass through even at high speeds.

Additional features include glasses compatibility, removable ear cups for easy washing, and a VAS-Z shield that accepts the Pinlock® lens. The helmet comes with a Pinlock® 120 fog-resistant lens for enhanced visibility.
