The JE Pistons VW 1.8T 20V 8.5:1 Piston Kit is a high-performance forged piston set designed for Volkswagen 1.8T 20V engines (1997-2005). Made from strong 2618 aluminum, these pistons offer high tensile strength for demanding applications. The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design reduces friction and weight while maintaining durability. Each piston features an inverted dome/dish design with a 3.189-inch bore, 8.5:1 compression ratio, and uses a 20mm (0.787-inch) wrist pin. Some applications may include a skirt coating for reduced friction and wear, as well as an accumulator groove to improve ring seal and performance. The kit includes four pistons, high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE Pro Seal premium piston rings. These pistons are designed for high-performance and racing applications, ensuring reliability and power.
