The JE Pistons BMW N55B30 Piston Set is designed for high-performance applications, featuring a forged 2618 aluminum construction that provides superior strength and durability. Engineered specifically for the BMW N55B30 engine, these pistons have an 84.5mm bore and a -14.7cc inverted dome design, resulting in a 9.5:1 compression ratio. JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design reduces friction and power loss by minimizing skirt width and utilizing a shorter wrist pin for weight savings. Additionally, a skirt coating helps reduce wear on both the piston and cylinder walls while also lowering operating noise. Some applications may also include an accumulator groove to improve ring seal and reduce ring flutter. This set includes six pistons along with high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE Pro Seal premium piston rings.
