The Hot Rods High Performance Connecting Rod Kit for the Suzuki LT500R (1987-1990) is a premium-quality replacement designed to deliver superior strength and durability. The crankpin is manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case-hardened to 58-62Rc for enhanced durability. The connecting rods feature the latest caged needle roller bearing designs for longevity at high RPMs. The big end of the rod is uniquely designed with side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion, while the small ends are double drilled to provide extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing. Shot-peening eliminates surface stress risers, and double honing ensures an ultra-round bearing surface for reliability at high RPMs. The rods are compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts.
