The Hot Rods Connecting Rod Kit for Yamaha YZ250F (2014-2018) delivers superior strength and durability with its heavy-duty OE replacement connecting rods. Forged from certified 8620 AISI steel, these rods feature a uniquely designed big end with strategically located side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPM. The crankpins, manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 and case-hardened to 58-62Rc, ensure high performance and longevity. This kit includes everything needed for a high-performance build: connecting rod, crank pin, crank bearing, wrist pin bearing, and phosphor bronze thrust washers, which are silver-coated for improved sliding at reduced temperatures. The double-drilled small ends provide extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing, enhancing reliability, especially when the piston crown is close to the wrist pin. Hot Rods employs the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs for high RPM durability. The rods are shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and ensure smooth blending of the rod forging's radiuses, while double honing produces an ultra-round bearing surface.
