In many cases, simply installing these guides improves airflow without additional modifications. A built-in flange ensures proper seal-to-retainer clearance for aggressive cam profiles, simplifying installation by eliminating the need for repeated measurements. Where a flange would interfere, a slight diameter reduction indicates the correct protrusion. Tight concentricity tolerances help maintain optimal seat-to-guide geometry, reducing material removal during valve jobs and ensuring consistent chamber volumes. Manufactured from C630 racing bronze, this guide contains 80% copper, 10% aluminum, and 5% nickel, offering excellent thermal conductivity, wear resistance, and corrosion protection. Its superior galling resistance allows for tighter clearances compared to other materials, leading to better valve-to-seat sealing and improved oil control. The aluminum content ensures compatibility with aluminum cylinder heads, while a radius transition prevents galling during installation. This kit includes two valve guides unless otherwise noted.
